HealthyWork 2018

27 November, SKYCITY Convention Centre, Auckland

SKYCITY Convention Centre in Auckland

The effects of work on health, and of health on work, are becoming increasingly recognised by businesses as a risk they need to manage. However, managing psychosocial and other health risks can often be more challenging than safety risks, as many of the ‘symptoms’ are difficult to see and have a long latency period.

How then can you manage those risks effectively? It all starts with having strategies and frameworks in place that can address and mitigate them.

There is also a growing body of evidence that is becoming increasingly hard to ignore; that investments in wellbeing have payoffs in productivity, reduction in absenteeism and staff engagement that far outweigh the costs.

The 2018 HealthyWork Conference, presented by Safeguard and Employment Today, aims to show you not only some of the strategies you can put in place to manage those risks, and case studies of organisations who have successfully implemented them. The conference is taking place on 27 November 2018, at the SKYCITY Convention Centre in Auckland.

Our programme is currently in development and will be released over the next few weeks. We will have a variety of international and local speakers that willcover the most topical aspects of workplace health and wellbeing. We are delighted to announce our two international speakers:

Dr Paul Litchield OBE, Chair of the What Works Centre for Wellbeing and Former Chief Medical Officer & Director of Health, Safety and Wellbeing at British Telecom (UK)

Dr Rebecca Michalak, Principal, PsychSafe Ltd (Australia)
